Welcome to Otra Ola the perfect destination for Surf, Spanish and Yoga Classes in Ecuador
We couldn't of asked for more this weekend: we had #beautiful #sunny skies, #greatwaves and off shore wind. We managed to get out into the water twice this weekend. Waves are smaller then earlier in the week but consistent and fun. Caroline who is volunteering with us until September headed out for a early morning #surf today and was greeted by two humpback whales. The season has started early.
Todays #yogaclass with Jessie was awesome. She spend some time on our shoulders. Its amazing how whether you have been spending hours traveling on buses and carrying heavy backpacks from hostel to hostel or taking a short escape from a hectic schedule, the body can hold so much tension in the shoulders. Then adding #surf into the mix, i dont think anyone was complaining after #savasana especially since Jessie uses essential oils to dippen the #relaxation, its pure bliss.
Caroline has been busy this weekend creating new product in the #cafe, yesterday she made a camomile ice tea that was infused with watermelon, it was so refreshing. The girls have been playing around lately with finding ways to eliminate sugar in our #baking. We have stopped using any processed sugars and are only using organic sugarcane made right here in Ecuador. Today we made Sugar Free Banana and Raisin Muffins. Everyone who tried them couldn't believe we haven't used sugar because the #Muffins were still so sweet.
Tomorrow Caroline's making a Avocado Cheesecake, cant wait to see how it turns out.
